Zoolympics launched

Education staff will be joining the Olympics fun this week with a series of games-inspired activities and talks across the 40-acre site.


DZG Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “We’ll be using favourite Olympics events to help visitors discover why snow leopards prefer the high jump, find out if spider monkeys really do make marvellous gymnasts, and learn how hunting dogs excel at endurance.”

Zoolympics animal-themed talks start today and run until August 5.   Timetable: 1.15 Snow Leopards – High Jump 1.30 Spider Monkeys – Gymnastics 1.45 Flamingoes – Balance 3.30 Creature Feature: Amazing Animals! 4.00 Hunting Dogs – Endurance
