A tropical treat was the order of the day as DZG tapir, Meena, turned 13.
Ungulates Apprentice Keeper Ellis Robinson served up some pineapple as a special gift for the birthday girl, pictured above, who shared the fruit with her partner 13-year-old Chico and their five-year-old son Ronnie.
Team leader Jay Haywood said: We knew Meena would appreciate some delicious fruit on her special day.
The tapirs are very popular animals with visitors and especially with Keepers for a Day who get chance to give them a tickle or two.
Happy birthday, Meena!
