You’re 15 today, Kubwa!

DZG’s Rothschild’s giraffe, Kubwa, was treated to a specially-made cake in honour of his 15^th birthday today.

Keepers served up the cake made of maize and sugar beet pulp for the handsome male and delivered cards from adopters and visitors.

The delicious creation was even decorated with the number 15 for the special boy.

Team Leader Jay Haywood said: “Kubwa is a real star and a very popular animal at the zoo. He’s bound to get plenty of visitors today.”

The cake was also shared with his partner Mia, one-year-old son Kito and the little one’s auntie Josie.
