DZG’s Outreach team visited Wordsley Festival on Saturday.
During the event in King George V Park, visitors were able to hold some of the smaller and tame animals from our collection including a snake and a guinea pig as well as getting their faces painted into a variety of wild animals!

Outreach staff get snappy at DZG’s under-fives event
Outreach staff were also kept busy at our annual under-fives event last week.
Activities throughout the fairies and pirates themed event included story telling, magic and puppet shows, face painting, a bouncy castle, balloon modelling, animal encounters and goody bags.
Children also had the chance to meet some of our smaller animal collection and join in animal talks and feeds, before taking part in a Pirate and Fairies fancy dress parade in the castle courtyard
Here are some more photos snapped by our team of all the fun and games!
