Five-month-old snow leopard cub, Makalu has been busy testing his climbing skills in a bid to join mum, Nanga who’s secretly hoping for a bit of me time!
The inquisitive youngster ventured out into the external enclosure for the first time this week, under the watchful eye of Nanga, and has been busy exploring the outdoor area’s new sights, sounds and smells. 
Despite his juvenile curiosity Makalu won’t stray far from mum, even when she’s well settled on her favourite platform, seemingly out of reach of her baby boy! 
Big cat keepers are delighted with the youngster’s progress and hope dad, Margaash will join the family line-up when they introduce him to his offspring later this month.
