Twin pygmy marmosets born!

Say hi to our latest arrivals – twin pygmy marmosets that are already giving mum and dad the runaround!

The adorable duo, born to mum Pam and dad Hendrix – pictured below – are currently being kept inside their warm enclosure out of the blustery weather.

Our new babies have been welcomed into the world less than a year after Pam translocated to DZG from Dublin Zoo as keepers established a new breeding group.

Hendrix was born at DZG during a successful conservation programme three years ago and is relishing his new role as dad to the pair of cuties.

Keeper, Sam Grove, said: “They were born on October 12 and are currently spending all their time with mum and dad. They’re lively little things and are certainly keeping their parents busy!”
