Toy sales top £62K!
Safari Shop sales of cuddly animal toys topped £62,000 throughout the summer hols a retail record for DZG!
Retail Manager, Isobel Blackwell, who relaunched the restored Tecton complex at Easter, said: During the six-week period we sold 8,727 soft toys taking over £10,000 a week on them alone, which is incredible!
Cuddly toys have always been great sellers at DZG, especially when there is a new birth on site, as visitors like taking a reminder home of their favourite animal.
And our new toy stock seems to have gone down really well with visitors, with popular species including meerkats, giraffes and tigers, which always sell quickly.”
Isobel added: Weve had a great summer in the Safari Shop; the first one since we re-launched earlier this year.
Not only have we had lots of positive comments about the new-look, especially the vast amount of space, but visitors have also been impressed with the range of stock were supplying and weve got lots more different things on the way just in time for Christmas visitors!
Stock ranges from three for £10 for the smallest animal soft toys to £69.99 for a metre-tall giraffe!
