Top job Laura!

Senior Keeper and mum-to-be Laura Robbins has been named Employee of the Month and celebrated the top title with tapir mum Meena.

Laura, who joined DZG 14 years ago and works part-time, won praise from staff and visitors for her dedication to the job and for making animal experiences so enjoyable for participants.

Zoo Director Derek Grove said: “Many congratulations to Laura who is a very experienced and committed keeper. The title is fully deserved as she is a valued member of the ungulates team.”

Laura, who has two daughters and is expecting her third child in a couple of months, said she was chuffed to get the honour and recognition.

Congratulations also to Special Achievement winners Senior Primate Keeper Jodie Dryden and Customer Services Team Member Melissa Adams, who works in our outreach team taking cuddly creatures and creepy crawlies to festivals, fetes and events.

Well done Laura, Jodie and Melissa!
