Camp followers, bowmen and billmen took over Dudley Castle as members of re-enactment group Historia Normannis moved into the courtyard at the heart of DZG.
Throughout Saturday and Sunday re-enactors showcased their skills to visitors with knights’ archery displays, woodwork, music and an authentic fashion show.
DZG Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “Visitors enjoyed a varied programme throughout both days, including a Norman fashion show where items of clothing of the period were explained, plus militia training and a mid-afternoon combat display.”
