Thanks One-sie and all!

More than 250 walkers and hundreds of supporters joined in the fun at this year’s DZG Onesie Walk and pulled in thousands of pounds for animal conservation projects.

A total of 274 people donned animal onesies and fancy dress for our second 5km walk around the zoo on Saturday May 2, which has been hailed a roaring success.

Sponsor money is still coming in but funds raised – estimated to be thouands of pounds – will be split between DZG’s conservation projects and 21st Century Tiger, a charity which supports tigers in the wild.

DZG Media and Communications Officer Jane Thomas said: “Congratulations and a huge thank you to everyone who completed the walk and raised funds for such vital projects.

“The zoo was filled with onesie walkers wearing all sorts of colourful creature costumes and it was a magnificent sight.”

Any outstanding sponsorship can be sent to DZG Marketing Assistant Louise Curtis by post, phone or in the Safari Gift Shop before the end of the month.
