DZG has benefited from the generosity of a Lichfield company, following a donation of surplus tools and equipment.
Newell Rubbermaid handed over a vast selection of Irwin Tools including saws, chisels, clamps and tape measures, as well as mops, wheelbarrows and bins to Assistant Curator, Richard Brown – pictured above with Newell Rubbermaid Operations Manager, Peter Illidgen and below with Carol Phipps, Despatch Manager, who visited DZG for a site tour.
Richard said: “This is the third year Newell Rubbermaid have thought of us and donated surplus equipment and this year there was so much I had to make two journeys in the zoo van to collect it all.
“The donation is a substantial saving for us and means we won’t need to buy any more tools for quite a while, so we are hugely grateful for their generosity.”
