Pupils from East Park Primary School in Wolverhampton had such a great rainforest session with DZG’s presenters that they sent a lovely booklet full of colourful thank you letters and drawings following their visit.
Forty-five seven and eight-year-olds from the school took part in the workshop back in May with Presenter Pam Midwood, where they met a few Discovery Centre creatures, including blue and gold macaw, Charlie and discovered all about rainforests around the world and the animals that live in the different layers of them.
Pam, pictured above, said: “The children seemed to really enjoy the session and it was great to receive a lovely handmade folder, full of thank you letters and drawings, through the post from them, as they had clearly put so much effort into it.
“The letters were wonderful to read and there were some lovely comments including one that said they thought DZG was probably the best zoo ever.
“They were also struck by Charlie, who I think was mentioned in every letter, as they all liked how she said goodbye to them when they left!”
