We’ve joined forces with 21st Century Tiger to send a thank you message to hardworking rangers in Sumatra.
Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman explained: “DZG has been part of the charity’s conservation programme for many years and in the past 12 months alone we have raised more than £2,300 to boost their field work to protect some of the most endangered big cats in the world.
“Our message was made into a banner for Kerinci Seblat National Park, one of the leading tiger protection units in Sumatra, as a way of saying thank you for the work done by the rangers on the Indonesian island and to to remind them that although we’re many thousands of miles away we constantly highlight their campaign through our talks, school sessions and conservation projects.”
She added: “At DZG we have two fantastic Sumatran tigers, Joao and Daseep, but time’s running out for their cousins in the wild. “We hope that by raising the profile of the tiger protection units and continuing to support such a vital conservation programme our commitment will reinforce the message that extinction cannot be an option.”
