Thank You DZC staff

As well as saying Thank You to our supporters this Love Your Zoo Week, we also want to say THANK YOU to our staff.

Like most businesses, this past year has been full of uncertainties for our employees, but we’re extremely grateful to our zoo keepers and skeleton staff who continued to work throughout the three lockdowns to continue caring for our animals.

They weren’t classed as key workers by the government, but still came to work each day to ensure life continued as normal as possible for our species in the midst of a worldwide pandemic.

We’re also incredibly thankful for the many staff members who were furloughed for the duration, which helped the zoo financially for the many months we were closed.

It’s been wonderful to have everyone back on site together again as we try to get back to some sort of normal.
