A glut of fruits donated by Shropshire woman, Tricia Chevin, provided tasty treats for father and son Brazilian tapirs, Chico and Ronnie.
Bags of grapes and pears grown in Tricia’s Dallicote garden were shared between Primates and Ungulates sections.
Assistant Curator, Richard Brown, said: “The grapes went down very well with the Gelada baboons and Chico and Ronnie adored the pears.
“It was very good of Tricia to think of us and the fruits certainly boosted the animals’ five-a-day intake.”
