Tapir fan’s birthday treat

Leicestershire animal lover Richard Cornwall had a 30^th birthday to treasure after his mum treated him to a DZG Keeper for a Day experience.

And Richard had a surprise of his own in store when he upgraded the package so his partner Amy Belcher could join in on the day.

The couple, from Hinckley, had a memorable time feeding and caring for our rare and endangered animals and listed the tapirs as a highlight.

Richard said: “It was a brilliant day and I’ve recommended it to so many people. I upgraded the experience as a surprise so Amy could join me because we’re both massive animal lovers and it was fantastic.

“I love tapirs anyway and stroking them and the snow leopards was amazing.”

He said his mum plumped for Dudley Zoo because of our range of 1,800 animals and said he would definitely do it again.
