Dudley’s light of peace

A beacon of remembrance has been lit at the top of Dudley Castle to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War. Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Alan Taylor, ignited the flame at the landmark location at a special ceremony at 7pm last night as part of a nationwide day of commemorative events. Thousands celebrate St George

Thousands of visitors celebrated St George’s Day at DZG as we hosted the borough’s official celebrations. Joining forces with Dudley Council we held the patriotic extravaganza in the courtyard of 11th century Dudley Castle, complete with dragons, medieval re-enactors, Dippy the clown, stilt walkers, crafts, face painting, ghost walks and animal meet, greets and feeds. St George's flag's flying!

England’s national flag is flying atop Dudley Castle as DZG celebrates St George’s Day. Our maintenance team have hoisted the red and white flag in preparation for today’s patriotic event, when thousands of visitors will be joining us onsite from 3pm until 7pm to celebrate our patron saint, having snapped up bargain £2.50 entry tickets.
