Great ape fundraiser

We’re delighted to reveal our Ape Awareness Day pulled in more than £500 to help great apes in the wild and our own at Dudley Zoo. Bubbles for Barbie!

Keepers broke out the bubbles today to celebrate Barbie’s 40th birthday down in our chimp enclosure. Hot stew on menu!

Keepers cooked up a warming stew for our seven chimpanzee girls during the latest cold snap. The keepers in Lower Primates boiled a pot of vegetables and then blended them together while they were still warm to make a stew which was served up as a drink in plastic bottles.
