Surround sound in the giraffe house is providing soothing background noise for our family of Rothschild’s.
Speakers around the indoor enclosure play constant wildlife tracks which offer authentic bird and insect sounds for male, Kubwa, females Josie and Mia and her 11-month-old son, Kito. Team Leader of Ungulates Section, Jay Haywood pictured said: “The sounds are proving a soothing distraction for the giraffes who can become skittish when they hear loud noises, like emergency vehicle sirens, which travel up the hill. “It also makes a pleasant background sound for visitors to the giraffe house.”
