We’re looking ahead to summer here at DZG by staying open an extra hour so visitors have longer to see their favourite animals.
We’ve reverted to summer hours which means we’re now open from 10am until 4pm, with the 40-acre site closing 90 minutes later.
Zoo Manager Matt Lewis, said: “Extra daylight means the animals get more time outside to enjoy the sunshine, while keepers use the additional hour to complete extra chores that are easier to complete in the drier weather, such as painting and decorating.”
The longer opening hours will remain in place until September, when last admission will revert to 3pm.
