Storm Eunice closure

As Storm Eunice gets set to sweep the country, Dudley Zoo and Castle has taken the decision to close tomorrow (Friday 18th February) for animal and public safety.

Zoo Manager Matt Lewis said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but with a weather warning in place, we have to be sensible and the safety of our animals, staff and visitors is our top priority.

“We plan to be open as normal today and this weekend, but please keep an eye on the zoo’s website and social media for further updates.”

In the meantime, all the zoo’s animals will be kept safe from the high winds inside their dens – with the pygmy marmosets not planning on coming out until the storm’s blown over!
