Rothschild giraffes, Kubwa, Josie and Mia are looking forward to meeting hundreds of under-fives in next week’s Barnardo’s Big Toddle.
The sponsored short walk around Dudley Castle courtyard is taking place on Wednesday, June 12 and Thursday 13 when Midlands youngsters will be dressed as their favourite fairy tale and nursery rhyme characters and toddling to raise money for the UK’s disadvantaged and disabled under fives. DZG Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “We are delighted to welcome back Barnardo’s Big Toddle to Dudley Castle courtyard as we have a strong relationship with the event spanning 14 years. “There is still time to sign up and help raise funds for a very worthy cause so we hope many nurseries, childminders, playgroups and families will join us.” Entry is free for toddlers up to five and £5 for adults and children over five. Barnardo’s Midland fundraiser, Pauline Clark, said: “The Barnardo’s Big Toddle at DZG is always well supported. Over the years we have had terrific times seeing children take part in the Toddle in sunshine and rain and on one occasion heavy mist – to help children less fortunate than our own.” For more information visit https://www.dudleyzoo.org.uk/events-and-experiences/barnardos-toddle-2013
