There’s still time for visitors interested in the history of Dudley Castle to take an exclusive after hours tour this year.
There are just two evenings left in 2018 to explore the 11th century castle at the heart of Dudley Zoo – on Tuesday, August 28 and Friday, September 7.
These family friendly themed evenings are led by former Castle Keeper, Adrian Durkin and start at 6.30 pm, lasting approximately two hours.
The subject under discussion on the August tour is The Civil War and food and cookery during the Medieval and Tudor times is the focus of the September event.
DZG Marketing Manager, Andrea Hales, said: “The after hours castle tours have proved extremely popular and are great value, as visitors get chance to visit the castle without having to pay regular zoo admission.
“Throughout the year to date we’ve been delighted to welcome so many visitors on the tours, who have enjoyed learning all about the castle’s history.”
Tickets cost just £4 per adult and £2 per child (recommended minimum age is eight) or £10 for a family ticket (valid for two adults and two children).
All money raised through the tours will go towards the ongoing upkeep and restoration of the castle.
