Stick insect session

Hartshorne CE Primary School pupils came face-to-face with  stick insects during their visit to DZG.

The children, from Derbyshire, took part in two educational sessions run in the Discovery Centre by DZG’s Presenters, including Colours and Camouflage and Habitats and Adaptations.

Presenter Pam Midwood introduced one group to a variety of animals who use their colours and patterns to attract a mate or hide from danger – such as the stick insects.

While the other group discovered all about the different habitats animals can live in, such as mountainous, desert, forest and wetland regions.
