Huge thanks to everyone for submitting lion images for the autumn cover of ZooNooz magazine.
There were some beautiful shots but the decision was unanimous Steve Weaver’s pic of Asiatic male lion Mwamba says it all! He’s not an easy beast to capture, and one-acre Lion Ridge is a challenge for many photographers, so well done, Steve.
We also felt three other contributions were very worthy contenders; in second place we have John Pidgley with this amazing shot.
While Kathryn Willett (below left) and Karen Edwards (below right) share joint third position.
