A group of sporty DZG staff are putting in final training ahead of a charity football match next week.
The team will be showcasing their fancy footwork against a group from The Fellows pub in Dudley, during a special friendly fundraising match on Sunday, June 30.
DZG team captain and Ungulate keeper, Jay Haywood, said: “When the Fellows team approached us to play them in a charity match we were more than happy to accept their invitation to help raise money for two very worthwhile causes.
“We have chosen to support The Snow Leopard Trust, which works to help protect endangered snow leopards, while The Fellows’ team are raising money for Kids, a charity which helps disabled children and their families.”
The match kicks off at 7pm at Goals Soccer Centre in Oldbury, which is allowing the teams to use the facilities free of charge.
Jay added: “We are asking friends, family and colleagues to sponsor us to help raise as much money as we can and the match is also open to the public so we hope people will get behind us and come and cheer on team DZG.”
Shane Peckover, owner of The Fellows Pub, said: “This is one of the first charity events we have organised since re-opening the pub and we are delighted DZG staff agreed to be involved.”
