St Philip’s visit

DZG’s Presenters helped children from St Philip’s Catholic School, in Smethwick, discover how animals cleverly adapt to their habitats.

Thirty youngsters, aged five and six, met lots of creatures during their Habitats and Adaptations workshop in the Discovery Centre, including a chinchilla and bearded dragon. 

Presenter Caroline Howard, pictured above, said: “The children got to meet a variety of animals who live in different places around the world, including a mountain, desert, forest and wetland and then we explained how they were adapted to survive in those specific environments.”
