DZG’s three-year-old Bornean orang utan, Sprout went undercover this week when Upper Primates keepers handed out their latest enrichment toys!
Staff stuffed paper sacks with fallen autumn leaves gathered from across the site and popped in a few orang treats before handing them to the playful youngster who promptly upended it to get inside the bag!
Upper Primates Keeper, Zoe Taylor said: “Sprout tipped the whole lot on to the floor, had a quick sniff at the primate pellets and sunflower seeds I’d put in to entice her, then climbed into the sack.
“She then continued to play with the sack for the rest of the morning!”
