A pair of azure-winged magpies have made their debut DZG public appearance.
The colourful couple have been in quarantine for the last 30 days after arriving from Tilgate Nature Centre near Crawley, West Sussex.
DZG Senior Keeper Ben Vanes said: “The pair are now on full show in the triple aviary after undergoing all the routine tests during their time in quarantine.”
The azure-winged magpie is a member of the crow family and has a life span of up to 15 years.
