Remember cheeky lemur, Splitz, who stole a mobile phone from the pocket of primate keeper Shaun Crompton?
Well, here’s a fantastic cartoon of the black and white ruffed troublemaker with his ‘booty’ in Lemur Wood!
It’s the handiwork of 21-year-old David Kirkham, a graphic design student at Dudley College’s Evolve campus, who compiled the humorous artwork after hearing of Splitz’s escapades. Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “David is part of a team of photographic and graphics students who have been working with DZG on a series of posters that will be showcased around the zoo site this summer.
“He has a wicked sense of humour and when he heard about naughty Splitz stealing Shaun’s mobile he put together this cartoon which captures the moment brilliantly.”
She added: “David is off to the University of Worcester to study Animation, hoping to pursue art as a profession, and all of us at DZG including Splitz wish him well.” Full story: https://www.dudleyzoo.org.uk/news/splitz-steals-phone
