Shake a leg!
With just three days left to sign up for this year’s Walk on the Wild Side at Dudley Zoo, last-minute entrants better shake a leg!
Our annual sponsored walk takes place this Saturday so there’s just time to dig out a fancy dress costume and add your support before we close our online entry system on Thursday afternoon.
This is the fifth year of the popular 5km stroll around our 40-acre woodland hillside site in aid of our own in-situ conservation projects and WildCats Conservation Alliance, a charity which supports wild tigers and Amur leopards.
DZG Marketing Manager, Andrea Hales, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to join us for our Walk on the Wild Side and, if people are quick, there’s still a couple of days to get in on the act.
“There’s no minimum sponsorship but we are encouraging participants to raise at least £50 and there’s an exciting animal adoption prize on offer for the most money raised.”
The event is open to all ages and offers walkers a chance to see their favourite species around the Zoo.
Onesies, fancy dress and any bright and colourful items of clothing are optional but very welcome.
The walk kicks off at 11am and registration costs just £6 per adult and £3 per child (3-15 yrs). Youngsters aged up to two are free and Zoo admission is included. Up to four spectators per booking will be admitted at a discounted rate of £7 per person (adult, child or concession) and need to be purchased in advance.
