Santa arrives at DZG!

Christmas magic is in the air as we officially open Santa’s grotto today!

Throughout the last few weeks, Mrs Claus – pictured above – and her elves have been busy transforming the 11th century Dudley Castle in the heart of the zoological gardens into a Winter Wonderland and it’s now ready for excited youngsters to meet Santa and receive a surprise gift.

And Father Christmas arrived this morning to take up residence every day for the next three weeks, but not before stopping off to say hello to his reindeer who will also be based in the courtyard to greet grotto goers.

And 315 sick and disadvantaged children said hello to Santa yesterday, along with the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Mohammed Hanif, when the grotto opened especially for Midlands-based charity, The Mad Hatters.

00114DZG Marketing Manager, Andrea Hales, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming hundreds of families in the run up to Christmas who have booked up to meet Santa and although tickets are going fast, there are still some slots available, so don’t miss out on your chance.”

All tickets must be pre-booked 24 hours in advance by CLICKING HERE or calling 01384 215313.
