It is with great sadness that we announce the death of DZG’s popular babirusa, Nick.
Pictured above, the 18-year-old Balinese wild pig – known affectionately by Keepers and regular visitors as Nick Pig’ – sadly died earlier this week.
He had reached a good old age but passed away on Tuesday evening after suffering a short illness.
Keepers said Nick was a favourite at Dudley Zoo and would be much missed.
