Reindeer mean snow business!

DZG may be closed to visitors today because of the weather, but our reindeer herd are loving the snow – especially this year’s new arrivals Basil, Ivy and Doreen who are experiencing the white stuff for the very first time!

It’s business as usual for our keeping team, who arrived in early to work this morning to begin transporting supplies across the 40-acre site as they continue caring for our 1,600 strong collection – and some are even using sledges to help move food around the hilly zoo!
