Competition to make an animal cake and win a DZG penguin adoption is hotting up!
Dozens of budding bakers have been sending in pictures of their culinary creations in our latest DZG contest.
Kingswinford schoolgirl Emily Flockhart, pictured above, has just cooked up two treats for the competition in the shape of tiger cupcakes and an impressive giraffe cake.
The 11-year-old baked the cakes with her mum Nicky Reynolds and was delighted with the result.
But there’s still plenty of time for keen cooks to enter as the deadline isn’t until the end of next month.
Marketing Manager Andrea Hales said: “The delicious designs we’ve had so far include a tortoise, a giraffe and a rabbit and they all look good enough to eat!
“Zoo Director Derek Grove is going to have a tough job judging this one and the winner will get to adopt one of our Humboldt penguins.”
All people need to do is send in a photo of their cake with their name, age and contact details.
Entries need to be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org before October 31st.
Good luck to all bakers!
