Rainforest explorers

A group of Birmingham pupils learned all about the different layers of a rainforest and the animals who live there during a DZG workshop.

The reception class youngsters from Oaks Primary School, in Druids Lane, took part in a Rainforest Explorers session in our Discovery Centre.

Presenter Langan Turner, pictured talking to the four and five-year-olds with Charlie the blue and gold macaw, said the children enjoyed meeting some of the creatures that live in the rainforest habitat.

He said: “They were all excited to meet our blue and gold macaw Charlie, who proved popular with both staff and pupils.”
