Capybara Pumpkin enjoyed a spot of male grooming after taking an afternoon mud bath in our South American paddock.
Keeper Josh Luxton caught the capybara on camera rolling around in the mud amongst the colourful autumn leaves.
And the natural beauty treatment will leave the creature’s coat in tip top condition as in the wild they wallow in the mud to get rid of dead skin and parasites.
Josh said: “It was so lovely to see Pumpkin taking a mud bath and enjoying some relaxation.
“And there was no need for anyone to worry about cleaning him off as he rubbed some mud off and then our female capybara groomed him as a bonding activity.”
