Hi, my name is Waddle and I am a male Penguin. Humboldts preen their feathers by gathering oil from our glands and applying it to them. This keeps our feathers waterproof and helps insulate us from the cold. I am a very greedy penguin and peck my keepers if they don’t feed me quick enough.
