Play Santa to our species

Visitors can play Santa to our animals and help us deliver surprise gifts to some of the world’s most endangered species.

We’ve updated our online Amazon wishlist, which gives supporters the chance to help us enrich the lives of their favourite DZG animal this Christmas.

The list contains a variety of fun and practical items specifically chosen by our keepers to benefit the animals, with prices ranging from just 31p for a clicker trainer.

Other items on the list include kongs, hanging baskets, hot water bottles, artificial plants, tools and animal carriers.

DZG Press Officer, Rachel Hickman, said: “Our visitors are always keen to donate money and answer our appeals for items which help enrich the lives of the 200 plus animal species we have on site and none more so than at Christmas time when our supporters do like to purchase gifts for their favourite DZG animal.

“The wishlist is a really easy way to provide wanted items and they’re delivered directly to us too.

“A huge thank you in advance for any help you can give us and remember to keep an eye out on our ZooNooz and social media sites, as you may see your donation in use.”
