Two ring-tailed lemurs helped collect a generous cash donation from a Black Country employment and training group.
Staff from Dudley’s Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG), in King Street, donated £315 to the zoo as part of their community support scheme and employment and training specialist, Andy Christie, got to meet the cheeky Lemur Wood boys when he handed over the donation.
Andy said: “I’m new to the business but thought the scheme was something I wanted to be a part of, so I made the suggestion to our payroll giving scheme and was delighted when the contribution was agreed.
“I pass the zoo on my way to work and when you talk of Dudley everyone mentions the zoo, but I didn’t appreciate that it was an educational charity with such a focus on animal conservation. We are keen to promote it whenever we can.”
DZG Marketing Assistant, Andrea Hales pictured above with Andy said: “We’re very grateful for the generous donation from Pertemps who have been loyal supporters of DZG’s work for many years.
“Their support will help us to continue our vital conservation programmes with some of the world’s rarest animals.”
