Pupils from The Coseley School discovered all about Humboldt penguins during a recent visit to DZG.
Their fact finding tour of Penguin Bay offered the teenagers all members of the school’s Animation Club a chance to get close to the rare birds before compiling footage of the species for a mini-film as part of their coursework. Teacher, James Stevens, said by talking to keepers and helping them feed the penguins the pupils gained an invaluable insight into their movements. DZG Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “We provided a bespoke session which offered the students an opportunity to observe penguins at very close range and to chat to keepers about them.”
