Parma wallaby revamp
Happy Australia Day to all of our Aussie followers!
Here on site, we’re currently busy redeveloping our Parma wallaby enclosure, a native species to the New South Wales region of Australia.
Work includes a new energy-efficient indoor den built and new fencing, as well as the inclusion of an enclosed catch-up area, which will allow the wallabies outdoor access during warmer nights and a new heated shelter in the paddock for colder days!
Plus, we’ve also raised £350 for zoo funds from recycling the scrap metal from the paddock’s old fencing.
Our wallabies are currently off-show while work is taking place, which is expected to be completed by the middle of March, but don’t forget to visit our Bennett’s wallabies in their walkthrough paddock.
