Outreach for Otis

DZG’s giant English rabbit, Otis, has enjoyed his first ever outreach visit.

Heather was visiting the Dudley school to lead three sessions with 69 children from years one and two.

Heather, pictured left, said: “I told the children all about the different habitats around the world and how various species adapt themselves to suit where they live.

“One group were particularly interested in woodland habitats, so I decided to take something a bit different to a normal domestic bunny, so the farm’s 6kg giant rabbit, Otis was the perfect choice.

“And he was impeccably behaved on his first outreach and was definitely a hit with all the children who loved stroking his soft fur.

“I’ll definitely take him with me again as he was such a good boy.”

Otis was also joined on his trip out by a rainbow boa, a chinchilla and a plated lizard.
