Onesies hit the streets

Our onesie team are hitting the streets of the Black Country and are heading to a town near you!

In the run up to the Onesie Walk on Saturday, May 3, our teams will be out and about to recruit walkers by leafleting shoppers and handing out Onesie Walk sweets.

Marketing Manager, Julia Lockett, said: “We are hoping to visit all the towns in the area in the zoo van over the next few weeks, so if you spot our team  – dressed in their DZG black and orange onesies – then stop them and say hello and find out more about how you can join in the fun and help save Sumatran tigers in the wild by signing up to our Onesie Walk.”

The event, around the zoo’s 40-acre site, is open to all ages and offers a 2km Waddle, 5km Wander or 10km Walk, while dressed in your favourite animal onesie.

Entry, which includes zoo admission, is £10 per person and £5.50 per child (3-15 yrs), with free admission for under 3s.

All funds raised will be split between DZG’s conservation projects and 21st Century Tiger, a charity which supports tigers in the wild.
