Onesie Walk raises £4,600!

Our first Onesie Walk has raised an incredible £4,600 for tiger conservation, and we’re over the moon!

dzg_-_onesie_cash_1_webWalkers from across the country donned animal-themed onesies to join 2km, 5km and 10km courses around the zoo to raise funds for Sumatran tigers in the wild via 21st Century Tiger charity and for DZG’s own conservation programme with this critically endangered species.   Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “It was a fantastic day and we’d like today a big thank you to everyone who raised sponsorship cash for a most worthwhile cause.   “Everyone had a great time and we’ve already started working on next year’s Onesie Walk date.”   Manager, Esther Conway from 21st Century Tiger, who attended the walk said: “We are delighted that DZG visitors raised so much for wild tiger conservation. Thank you! This money really can make a difference by protecting Sumatran tigers in their natural forest.”
