We’re gearing up to step out in style for this year’s Onesie Walk!
There’s just ONE MONTH to go until our onesie event to raise funds to extend the snow leopard enclosure for our much-loved big cat trio and DZG’s Curator Richard Brown, has already started measuring up for the revamp work.
There’s still plenty of time to sign up for the 5km sponsored walk around the zoo’s 40-acre site, which takes place on Saturday, May 7.
DZG Marketing Manager, Andrea Hales, said: “We’re looking forward to the event, which is fast approaching.
“It’s a really fun day out, where else can you see your favourite exotic animals while dressed in an animal-themed onesie or fancy dress and know that you’re raising money for an endangered enigmatic big cat species.”
All money raised will be go towards DZG’s latest conservation project to extend our snow leopards’ home to include a new viewing area and platform and it is hoped work will begin early next year.
The Onesie Walk will start at 11am and registration costs £6 per adult and £3 per child (3-15 years) which includes zoo admission. Up to four spectators per participant will be admitted at a discounted rate of £6 per person (adult, child or concession). These need to be purchased prior to the date.
At the end of the walk, entertainment and refreshments will be available in the Castle Courtyard.
