Onesie cash donation

A big Thank You to staff at The Village Hotel, Castlegate, who raised £77 towards our Onesie Walk – that’s one pound for each year DZG has been open!

The team donned their onesies and paid for the privilege and donated the raised cash to our appeal to help save Sumatran tigers in the wild.

DZG Press Officer, Rachel Hickman, said: “It was very generous of The Village Hotel to donate the money towards our Onesie Walk and the amount is very apt as we’re celebrating our 77th anniversary this year.

“They were also kind in allowing us to promote the event at the hotel during their themed day, with DZG staff handing out hundreds of leaflets to the hotel’s guests.”

All money raised from our Onesie Walk on Saturday, May 3, will be split between 21st Century Tiger – which work towards saving tigers in the wild and DZG conservation projects.

The Village Hotel General Manager, Daryll Holdnall, said: “We regularly hold random themed days at the hotel to create a sense of fun, when staff come dressed in the theme and donate money to charity. We then encourage guests and members to support the charity by donating also and decided as it was a onesie-themed day, we would support DZG’s Onesie Walk.”
