Pedal power is providing the perfect smoothie at DZG’s Queen Mary Suite where visitors can blend their own delicious drink by riding a bike.
Throughout summer visitors can join our Smoothie Challenge by selecting from a variety of fresh fruit, including pineapple, mango, kiwi, watermelon, strawberries or mixed berries, then popping them into a special blender attached to the back of the bike.
After orange juice is added, visitors simply get pedalling to activate the blender and hey presto, the perfect smoothie!
Restaurant Supervisor, Diane Cooper, said: “It takes 20 30 seconds of pedalling to create a smoothie, but obviously it depends on how fast you pedal.
“We record the times on a board so visitors can see what they have to beat.
“And if you don’t have the energy to do it yourself after walking up the hill, then one of our staff will happily do it for you!”
Join catering assistant Becky Mills for the £2.50 Smoothie Challenge, which runs every day throughout the summer holidays.
