Nicola’s news!

There was great news for Birds Section Leader Nicola Wright, who has been named our Employee of the Month!

Nicola was awarded a certificate and gift voucher from the zoo’s management team after receiving multiple nominations for her ongoing work with the hand rearing of our Humboldt penguin chicks, Michael, Jaws and our newly christened Atticus and Horlick, who were named earlier this week following visitor suggestions!

The news of their arrivals generated great media coverage for DZC, including interviews on local radio, which Nicola led.

We’re also saying congratulations to Office Receptionist Nicky Reynolds and Bird Keeper Jess Jones who received this month’s notable achievements.
