Mums and tums!

We’re saying goodbye and good luck to three of our Senior Keepers as they head off on maternity leave.

Sophie Dugmore, 31, of Dudley, will be welcoming baby number two at the end of the month, while Laura Robbins, 25, of Sandwell, and Kellie Piper, 30, of Tewkesbury, are expecting their first babies at the beginning and end of July respectively – and the girls have been busy comparing bumps!

Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “We wish the girls lots of luck, although we know they won’t need it as they’ve been brilliant surrogate mums to many of DZG’s animals over the years, so they’ve already had plenty of practice.

“And we’re sure it won’t be long until they’re popping back on site with their prams to introduce their new arrivals to their favourite animals.”
